A new coven of vampires in town, the Karmatics, led by Melissa Karmatic. It's a big coven, too - five members. And it seems that all that vampire presence draws more people to the rainy little town, as well....

(Hahaha, okay!)
Ivanka Karmatic carefully adjusted the last few pieces onto her motorcycle. It was her preferred method of transportation when running wouldn't do. But she got too wet in Forks, so she was putting on little covering things. Now, the cherried-out cycle was more like a one-person car. But she was cool with that. As long as she didn't get too drenched.
She was in a makeshift garage that she'd built in the middle of the forest, in a large clearing. They had built little huts, until they had a proper home. It had been Melissa's idea to come see the Cullens. Ivi wasn't going to make too many sacrifices. Like her diet. Still humans. And still opposed to hotel rooms. Long story. But anyway, the makeshift shelters were pretty nice, as makeshift shelters go, and they would certainly not attract the unwanted attention of visiting such a small town. The one hotel was mostly for people passing through, and it looked pretty run-down. If five gorgeous, pale girls showed up, people would notice.
She put the motorcycle away and ran from the garage shed to the large bedroom shed. She perched on the edge and looked at her coven sisters. "So," she said. "Today's the day." Melissa had announced this morning that today they were going to see the Cullens. Ivi was still nervous about it.

"It's so exciting, don't you think?" Lila said, spinning around with her arms thrown out. She stood just barely outside the shed, her eyes closed as she let the light drizzling rain soak into her red hair. She stopped suddenly and rushed inside, standing so close that Ivi drew back.
"Do you think I should change?"
The girls looked down at her long sleeved white shirt, the light gray tank top showing underneath; her torn jeans, always too long for her, were painted with splotches of mud; she was barefoot, as she often was; and the necklace she wore around her left wrist was sparkling. Without an answer, she began rummaging through the small bag she'd brought along with her. She pulled out an array of long sleeved shirts - all bright in color - and two extra pairs of jeans, one lighter and one darker than the pair she wore currently. She held the shirts up to her, one after the other, imagining a mirror in the makeshift shed she was happy to call home.
"What about this?" she asked, holding up the yellow shirt and the darkwash jeans. She twirled slightly, allowing the girls around the room to see her choice. She looked expectantly at Era, her gray-blue eyes sparkling as a smile flitted across her pink lips.

(Let's just G-Mod the other characters until we get someone to play them... easier that way.)
Even though Lila had asked Era, Ivi was happy to answer. "I think it's cute," she said, stretching out. Ivi herself knew she needed to change from her somewhat-soaked working clothes into something... presentable. She disappeared momentarily, but was soon back, in a white dress shirt tied to expose a flash of pale skin at her stomach, light ripped jeans, and cowboy boots. She finished tucking the jeans into the boots before drifting over to the mirror and letting her hair down from the side pin-up it was in. She brushed it carefully out -- dislodging one single pine needle -- and braided it into two short braids in the front. Very Californian.
"So," she repeated. She tended to take charge when Melissa was not around. Ivi wasn't bossy -- not exactly -- but she was definitely more leader than follower. "Once we're all ready--" she glared at Zia, who was muddy and wearing basically a tarp "--we should probably start over there. Now, we'll have to decide -- are we going on foot, or taking vehicles?" She was itching to try out her motorcycle, but she wouldn't let it show. If they were going to show up on foot, so be it. It would be sneakier that way. And she could always make a run to the hardware store in her crazy awesome motorcycle.
See, Ivanka was just over her "newborn" stage. She could now control herself among humans, and she enjoyed doing so. She liked the feeling of having this power that no one else could see, and not knowing if she would do anything. She was very impulsive and irresponsible, and being a vampire somehow suited her. She even liked being a newborn. It was like, all her life, she had been driving, but now she was in the passenger seat. Navigating, but the driver was free to ignore her if they so desired. It was kind of thrilling to her. Her eyes darkened. "Maybe we should feed first. I heard they run with humans." She and Lila were the only two who still ate humans. Lila tried to go after the murderers and the rapists. Ivi just ate whoever smelled the best. Her incredible beauty was enough to lure anyone to a remote location -- especially men. At first, she'd felt a little cheated, since she didn't have a talent of her own. But, after newborn life was over, she noticed that she had a sort of magnetism. Like, people seemed to trust her, and couldn't stay away from her. They wanted to do what she said. It wasn't mind control, as she'd tried to control people's minds, and failed miserably. But it was like... they wished to please her. She wasn't sure if it was some kind of weird talent, or if she was just that pretty. But either way, she wasn't complaining.
Ivi walked over to the umbrella stand and picked up a pink one with black polka dots. It was a special purchase. She let down the plastic and it surrounded her -- like a wall of plastic, keeping her from the rain. "Shall we feed?" she asked, her voice slightly muffled by the plastic membrane.

Lila puckered her lips, thinking. Her brows furrowed together as she concentrated. Then she nodded and placed the still-clean clothes on one of the beds. She then walked out of the door, smiling at each raindrop that landed on her pale skin.
"I think we should. Maybe that way we won't upset them," Lila muttered thoughtfully. "But you know what I was wondering?"
Without waiting for an answer, as was her usual, she continued: "My jeans are always so long, and I always walk on the bottoms of them. So then really, what's the point of changing mud splattered pants when all that's going to happen is a different pair of pants gets mud splattered? I want to look nice. Impress them, you know. I can't think of a way to walk or even take vehicles where I won't end up with wet and dirty pants."
She turned around, walking backwards through the mud and grass and leaves that littered the forest floor. Her gray-blue eyes held a pleading look. Ivi was always so smart about things. Lila was sure that if anyone could come up with a solution, it would be the tall and most beautiful girl that she had come to call her sister.

((I'll be Zia.))
"Hey, wait for me!" Zia ran out of the hut and, before she could stop herself, pummeled into Ivi and the umbrella. Which was really fine with her. She lay on the ground, laughing her head off as Ivi stood up. The umbrella handle was bent and parts of the plastic force field - as Zia called it - was torn and muddy. Ivi, too, was muddy. Her white shirt was now more of a gray-brown, her hair was covered in a thick layer of mud and rotting leaves, and there was a tear in her jeans that ran the length of her thigh. Zia was more of a mess, having already been running and splashing in mud puddles earlier. She sat up suddenly and the laughter was choked in her throat. "I'm sorry," she whispered, holding the tarp-ish object more close around her body. "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."

Lila couldn't help the burst of laughter that escaped her. It was such a peculiar scene, after all. In all her adventures with her sisters, everything she'd seen and participated in, this was by far the most strange. She thought the umbrella, with its thin shield, looked rather like an octopus flailing on the shore after beaching itself. Her laughter trailed off and she knelt next to the two girls, a smile still wide on her face.
