but it was a good ending. in BD, i wanted someone to fight, and someone to die. you know, some action.......... a DIFFERENT kind of action.

I think we all were kinda pissed off with everything so perfect in Breaking dawn (at least we fans of Steph in Croatia were) but with The Host it was totally different! It finishes good but still it's complete scary till it ends. I mean, I didn't know how it's all going to finish and I didn't see the way Ian and Wanda could be together, but than they were! In BD I know that all will be good. I mean, after everything was so perfect even Voluturi couldn't kill Bella. xD

That's totally the opposite of me, I had no idea what was going to happen in Breaking Dawn, but in The Host, I didn't really KNOW how it would happen, but I was hoping that this would happen or that, and it more or less did, a little different then I thought but it worked out like I hoped, so I was thrilled. Though the end kind of startled me... With an ending like that, there should be another book... Speaking of which, do y'all know about Midnight Sun (the, hopefully next book after Breaking Dawn, if she feels like writing it)??

Oh my, I finished it about two days ago and this is the first I have gotten access to a computer.
I loved it so much. I am a Twilight fan, but I can honestly say I liked this more. I don't know...the story line was just...AH! I can't even...just. W.O.W.
<3 I loved it.
I just thought I would put my two cents in. =)

I love all of Stephenie's books thus far and really want her to do a sequel to The Host and finish and publish Midnight Sun. That would be amazing!!

Speaking of which, do y'all know about Midnight Sun (the, hopefully next book after Breaking Dawn, if she feels like writing it)?? Did you read the (legal) 12 chapters? I did!!! I almost didn't 'cause I was like "oh, I'm going to go insane waiting..." but I did and I don't regret it. You should read it if you haven't already! Anyway. 'Tis a great book, Ian's Love! I've read it, like, fifty times, and I'm still not tired of it. Haha. And that's a lot of le gaspers le gasping at once!!! Haha.

What REALLY surprised me is when Jared slapped Wanda right when they brought her to the cave!! That got me cause I thought he would've been all happy , but I guess I can see where he was coming from! I think the host and the twilight series ARE THE BEST BOOKS I'VE EVER READ!!! (and I've read A LOT of books!) ;D

Hello! I'm new and the only other person i know who has read the Host rejects my Point of View on the book. So i came here. Now please bear with me because i don't reall know how to navigate this forum, or do what's what, but i do know this: I love this book. If everybody in the world was made to read this book i think either A) the world would be a better place or B) every person expectations in a boyfirend/girlfriend would go up and there would be mass Anarchy. Lol. Just kidding. But really. I like this book because it makes you look at situations in a way you usually wouldn't. It tugs you in two different ways. I also like how Stephanie Meyer crafter the world. It seems very realistic and she didn't leave any importnant questions unanswered whne hse explained the world. Of course, i wouldn't expect anything less from Stephanie Meyer. Oh, and just so you all know, I'm for Team O'Shea. Because Ian would love me even if i was a three inch long worm in the back of a body's head.

I just finished this book too and OMG It is amazing, and I agree that the ending was better than Breaking Dawn, because in BD everything was going bad, then in like a Chapter everything was fixed and everyone lived happily ever after, was disappointing . Also, I looooove Ian and was sobbing (I'm always emotional, in case you think I'm some saddo ) when Wanda was going to die! And I actually resented Melanie, and Jared by the end. Then it all worked out! And I'm so happy it did, plus I like that it ended happily, but still leaving the feeling of terror andddd the possibility of plenty of sequels ;D.

Maybe Steph should write adult books more often. I loved this one waaay more than the Twilight series. It was too perfect. But The Host was suspenseful, and I have always been a huge fan of angst. Some of my favorite parts are actually when Jeb found them, and from then up until Jared comes back from the raid. I actually skipped forward a lot when I read the start of one chapter: "I killed Wes." I was shocked, and skipped ahead a couple hundred pages. xD I can still not bring myself to read those chapters... ;__;
