Jamie's so sweet and trusting, you have to like him. He was more understanding and open than Jared, in my opinion. But...I dunno...Kyle seemed kind of violent.

I liked Doc a lot until the whole thing where he cut up the "souls". He regained my trust after that... But then wouldn't help Jamie... So I like him enough but not a whole lot.

well, so many votes for ian. hmmmm. i LOVE him, but somehow i feel as if this isn't quite fair. he is understanding, loving, strong, the list of good qualities continues. but wanderer, she makes the real journey.she is truly the strongest character. she overcomes jared's hate, makes friends with an alien(mel IS an alien to her, at least), finds reason to die for the love of a HUMAN, treks through the desert to find a human rebellion that hates her, just to please the voice inside her head, works her BUTT off just to please a bunch of haters, risks her life for someone who nwants to kill her, realizes the wrongness of putting a Soul into another being, survives murder attempts( and pure pain) numerous times, well this list goes on, so i just gave u a little insightful help from my point of view. P.S. ian is so amazing wish he could be real love him alot hes def. a runner up. or even equal.

I think everyone just loves Ian cos they wish they could have him I know that's MY main reason. Since the majority of those who read the book are girls, you really don't feel that kind of attraction with Wanda. But you're definately right about her strength!

Let's point out that we could feel that kind of attraction towards Wanda even if we are girls, though the way the book is written one probably wouldn't. And it's hard not to feel attraction for Ian.

Four people in the book with names that start with the letter J! Or she could have used John, or something...

Not your fault, I just didn't make myself clear. I often make strange parallels. Wanda is still my favorite character.
